Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to make 3D appearance soon

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to use 3D hologram technology for its chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during public rallies, in an effort to minimise security risks to the life of the budding politician.

According to details, the 3D hologram system was successfully tested by the PPP’s technology experts. The technology would be put to use during Bilawal’s address to party supporters next Monday, where he would simultaneously address activists in different cities.

Bilawal’s overall security had been increased, especially in Punjab province, after the assassination of his mother Benazir Bhutto at a public rally in 2007. High security and police protocol were made available to the PPP chairman during his recent public appearances in Lahore and other cities of Punjab.

Last year on the occasion of PPP foundation day, party leaders had hinted that functions at Bilawal House, Lahore were not being held due to security reasons. This concern was also shared by Bilawal when he showed dissatisfaction over Punjab government’s security provided to him during visits to the provincial metropolis.

Political experts believed the appearance of a “Bhutto” at rallies was necessary to provide momentum to PPP electioneering in Punjab and other parts of the country. They said that the PPP’s campaign for the 2018 general elections would not make a major difference if Bilawal was not physically present at rallies to interact with the public.

PPP Information Central Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad confirmed that the party would use 3D technology for a gathering of 2,500 or 3,000 people. He said that Bilawal would personally attend large gatherings to strengthen support within the ranks of the party.

Manzoor said that use of 3D technology was a common practice around the world, adding that it would help the PPP chairman in taking his message to a wider audience in the most effective way.

PPP leader Ali Qasim Gillani said that the party was planning to arrange meetings with journalists in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities of the country, to inform them about the 3D technology in public rallies and its benefits.
